I am not sure what made me think I could go to college and raise a child but I did it. My college counselor told me that it would be impossible for me to be a scientist and work from home while raising a child. Yet, that is exactly what I set out to do and did. People told be I could not build a career and still be an active part of my son’s life, yet, I have.
I would love to say that my path through life has been a straight arrow and, with over a decade of working from home, that I have all the answers but that would be a lie. I have done some great things and have built a life I love. Yet, I have also made some big mistakes. Some of those mistakes I have gotten over and learned from and some well I am not sure why they occurred or what, if anything, I need to learn from them. Time will tell, I guess.
What I do know is that through the years I have helped myself and others build lives that they love. Lives that are positive, empowering and built around the principle, “If mommy ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.” I truly believe that I can help working mother’s create lives that allow for both children and careers to flourish by putting in systems and process that allow moms to bridge the gap between business and parenting. I know there must be other Mompreneurs out there that want to build successful businesses, be great women in their families and the community, and know they can do it all by putting Family First.
I would love for you to join me on this journey in any fashion you want.
